Clarify material identity, composition, analytical basis and formulation behaviour before comparing prebiotic or fibre proposals.
NCCIH distinguishes prebiotics from probiotics: the former are nondigestible food components that selectively stimulate desirable microorganisms, while the latter involve live microorganisms. A fibre description alone does not establish a specific prebiotic effect.
Use the distinction to organise questions, then assess the proposed material, amount and wording against relevant evidence.
Request the full name, source, composition, carriers and specification revision. Two materials sold as fibre powders are not necessarily equivalent. Link identity documents to the supplier’s material code so samples and quotations remain aligned.
Check assay units, methods and reporting bases. Record material input, declared fibre content and finished-serving weight separately instead of treating them as the same number.

Agree on water volume, use method, serving size and other ingredients before comparing samples. Under consistent conditions, record viscosity, dispersion, sediment, aroma and sweetness. A general preference score is less useful than specific observations.
Evaluate the combined formula rather than relying on a demonstration of the ingredient alone. List additional checks where the intended packaging or storage conditions differ.
For supplier research, record the studied material, amount, population and outcome, then compare them with the proposed product. General microbiome discussion does not establish a finished-product promise.
Keep confirmed specifications, pending sample checks and proposed claims in separate sections of the enquiry. That supports clearer quotations and a more focused next sampling round.

Bring your target market, ingredient specifications and open questions to ACC Biotech for an OEM/ODM or sourcing discussion, or enquire via WhatsApp. Feasibility, documentation, costs and timing are confirmed for each project.
