Folate is a broader term than folic acid. Keep the nutrient name, specific form and measurement basis distinct when reviewing ingredient documents.
NIH ODS uses folate as an umbrella term for forms occurring naturally in foods and those used in supplements and fortified foods. Folic acid is one of these forms. Some supplements also contain 5-MTHF.
Consequently, two documents translated with the same Chinese nutrient name may describe different materials. Preserve the specific form when translating or preparing an enquiry rather than removing that distinction for convenience.
Keep the complete material name, form, supplier code and specification version together. If a document uses an abbreviation, ask the supplier to connect it to the formal ingredient identification.
A different name alone does not establish clinical superiority or direct interchangeability in a formula. Project suitability still depends on the intended market, finished-product direction and appropriate professional assessment.

ODS uses dietary folate equivalents, or DFE, as a nutritional expression. Do not casually substitute this for material weight or another content expression. A figure needs its unit and basis to be meaningful.
Retain original units in purchasing and label worksheets. Document the basis, conditions and reviewer of any conversion. Do not remove explanatory text merely to make three language versions fit the same layout.
Compare specifications, batch certificates, formula sheets and label drafts to confirm that each language still identifies the same material and content basis. Resolve differences before printing or purchasing.
This is a naming and document-reading fact, not personal supplementation advice. Questions about individual intake, pregnancy, medicines or health circumstances require an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
