Use a dated US affordability survey to frame questions about pack outlay, cost per serving and clear product information before changing a formula.
In a release dated 7 October 2026, CRN reported that 31% of US adults said supplement expense had discouraged use or made regular use harder. Morning Consult conducted the industry-association-commissioned survey. This is not a Hong Kong demand estimate.
This recap uses the price finding to generate questions for a brand’s own research. Stated attitudes are not observed changes in sales. Local customer, channel and transaction evidence remain necessary.
Checkout outlay, bottle price and cost per serving can create different concerns. Explore purchase frequency, usual pack size and understanding of serving information rather than simply asking whether someone wants a lower price.
Possible concepts include different pack counts with the same serving configuration or clearer serving information. These are hypotheses to test, not sales strategies established by the survey.

Compare ingredient, packaging, processing, testing and logistics assumptions when requesting smaller-pack quotations. Show lower total outlay separately from lower cost per serving.
If changing the formula, review the positioning, specifications and proposed claims affected. Do not retain copy that no longer matches the material just to reach a price point. Consider evidence and use experience alongside cost.
Define the audience, period and question before concept testing. Retain channel, promotion and unit definitions in sales comparisons. Willingness to buy is not a transaction or a future repeat purchase.
Keep the source signal, brand hypothesis, sample proposal and validation result separate. A bounded overseas insight can support OEM trade-offs without allowing one percentage to determine a local product.
