Compare strain identity, supplied form, evidence and finished-product requirements before selecting an AKK ingredient for sampling.
Akkermansia muciniphila is a species name. Commercial materials also have strain identities: AKK PROBIO’s supplier identifies CGMCC No.20955, while AM06 is another specified material.
List full names, suppliers and specification versions before comparing quotations. Two offers using the AKK abbreviation should not automatically be treated as interchangeable.
The PROBIO supplier lists live and pasteurized routes; AM06’s website describes a heat-inactivated commercial preparation. Use these descriptions to start the review, then confirm the actual supplied grade in its documents.
Ask which route fits the product rather than choosing a universally best name. Different formats, storage needs and serving configurations can create different development priorities.

AM06’s supplier describes a human-milk origin, and published research includes strain screening and preclinical safety assessment. Origin explains background; it does not establish suitability for infants or pregnant people.
Study counts and patent logos likewise cannot replace review of the actual papers, specifications and their scope. Record both what the material is and which evidence matches it.
Provide target market, adult audience, serving configuration, format and packaging direction. Identify the documents and sampling questions still open for each candidate.
Compare the complete project proposal, including material, finished-product assessment and supply scope. Price can inform the decision once the specifications and deliverables being compared are clear.
