Read the population, preparation, intervention and outcomes before using an AKK study to shape a product claim.
AKK studies have different eligibility criteria. The 2019 exploratory trial enrolled overweight or obese volunteers with insulin resistance, rather than testing a universal product for all healthy adults.
Compare that population with the intended audience. Preserve any differences instead of removing the conditions and presenting an outcome as something every customer should expect.
The same AKK shorthand can refer to different strains, live or processed forms and intervention schedules. Keep early exploratory research distinct from later commercial-ingredient studies.
For example, the PROBIO randomized trial compared a particular live preparation, its postbiotic and placebo. Check the actual study groups before transferring a finding to another material or a blended product.

A results table may report several endpoints, between-group differences and changes within a group. Those comparisons answer different questions; improvement within one group is not automatically superiority over the control.
In the 2019 trial, the body-weight difference between the pasteurized and placebo groups did not reach a conventional significance threshold. Extracting only a kilogram figure would overstate that result.
Research can inform ingredient selection. The team still needs to consider its actual preparation, serving, co-ingredients and use pattern, reassessing the evidence scope when those conditions differ.
Build a comparison sheet retaining population, material, intervention, outcomes and limitations. It gives development and content teams a shared reference instead of competing interpretations of a headline.
