A large cell-count figure needs context: strain, preparation, method and the amount in an actual serving.
CFU counts colony-forming units under specified culture conditions. Flow cytometry counts according to the staining and analysis conditions used. Methods and units describe different characteristics; calling every result a bacteria count can obscure the distinction.
Request the unit definition, method and interpretation for the particular live or inactivated preparation. An extra zero does not establish ten times the same activity across different methods.
A specification per gram of material is not the amount per capsule or sachet. Record the ingredient input, formula composition and intended serving before discussing a finished-product figure.
Update the calculation when concentration or carrier content changes. Retain the original specification, units and review record so purchasing, development and design teams share the same reference.

Ingredient release, completion of manufacturing and shelf-life end are different points. Live-product communication needs particular clarity about when the stated viable count applies.
Inactivated material should not be described as a replicating live culture. For either route, connect finished-product statements to actual testing and supporting documents rather than inferring them from one ingredient certificate.
Introduce strain and preparation first, then explain the serving configuration and storage using appropriate units. Helping customers understand the product gives a brand more to communicate than a large number alone.
Put material identity, measurement basis, intended input and required documents in the enquiry. This also makes it easier to tell whether quotations are being compared on the same basis.
